Ian's 15 month review

Can't believe the fun we've been having this summer.

Here's our update:

Ian is 15 months old. He weighs 23lbs, 2oz and that's the 30%. He is  31.5 inches  tall and that's the  60%. His head is 46.5 cm and that's the 30%.

Ian took his first steps on 5/27, but it took a few more weeks to really get the walking thing down. Now you cannot stop him from toddling everywhere! He's getting better on uneven terrain and usually says "uh-oh" when he falls.

Speaking of speaking- this kid is moving right along. His first clear word was balloon back in April, but I'd guess he has about 25 words that he can say. Most of them are pretty clear and usually he will fixate on the item and just call its name out again and again. He loves naming animals and making their sounds, and he loves looking at pictures and naming the people in them. He also has about 5 signs he uses regularly (eat, more, all done, down, milk) and also blows kisses and gives kisses. It is INCREDIBLE to watch this kid respond to commands, such as bring Mommy the giraffe, go give Daddy a kiss, or even put the shapes back in the jar.

His favorite books are Goodnight Moon, Baby Loves to Rock, and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.

His favorite foods are sweet potatoes (he eats them with a spoon straight out of the skin!!), cheese, greek yogurt, and oatmeal.

He goes to sleep every night with his MyPal Scout, a dog that says your child's name and plays music and sings. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that I can put him in his crib and if he's not tired, he will play with Scout for a bit and then fall asleep, no tears. He never cries in the morning, we just hear Scout singing through our monitor then go in to get him.
Ok, I think I've written enough. I know all you folks want are the pictures. So here's a snapshot of our last two months!

First trip to the beach. He adored it!

And a mommy quote for the day
"No one may be asking for a PowerPoint presentation on being a mom,
but that doesn't mean you are not a missionary"
